About the Northwest Hilly Growers Association

Holly tree with snowThe Oregon Holly Growers Association met as a group for the first time in Portland, Oregon on July 24, 1931. The meeting was held in the Public Library at 10th and Yamhill.

Members have been meeting twice a year, spring and fall, to discuss their operations and share tips on growing and selling holly. These meetings have usually been held at a member's site and are followed by a tour of the operation. Sometimes we will have special guest experts to introduce topics of general interest, such as organic techniques, pest control, pruning tips or floral arranging.
